Have you ever been through uncertainty? Situations you have no control over no matter how many scenarios you play in your mind. There is hope in the midst of uncertainty. There is peace in the midst of uncertainty. Yes I know those statements seems far fetched but they are true. The Lord commanded us to be still and know that he is God. What does that mean? It means to calm your nerves and realize that God is the almighty, he is in control, not you. I know it’s hard to let go and let him be in control. That’s one of the things I constantly struggle with as well. I always tend to plan every aspect of my life, when things don’t fall into place I start to control. But there are many situations I can not control, and I had to learn to let go and God be the pilot. I am no way someone who mastered letting go of control but I have experienced some situations where nothing I can do will change the situation instead letting go and allowing God to be in control.
Bible verses to remember:
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I know that in the midst of uncertainty the perspective of life seems bleek. Please know that the Lord wants you to lean on him, to depend on him. He is your supplication, he will supply you with what you need.
