Pallet boot rack

Here is a pictorial (of the pallet book rack my husband made) because I would not be able to explain it well compared to these pictures. I hope this inspires you to make this or something similar!

First you need to measure how far apart each dowel will be.  It should be evenly spaced and will hold all the boots you plan on racking, when you have decided where to place your dowels mark  it.

Make pre-drill holes on the marks.

Glue all the dowels on the holes you made.

Then drill a screw in the back of the board.

After you are done putting the screw in in each dowel clean up the glue with a wet rag and drill it into the wall.

All done!

DIY planner pages

Earlier I compiled some of my favorite free planner weekly printouts but I did not instruct on how to print them into pages that fit your personal planner. Whether you have a a5, a4 or a6 size planner this tutorial will walk you through how to print pages that will fit your planner.

  1. First you need to figure out the dimensions of your planner inserts. My planner inserts dimensions measures 3.75″ x 6.75″.
  2.  You then need to make blank templates. Here’s my template, I managed to fit 3 in one regular letter size page.  Here’s the link to download my template if you have the same planner as I do (webster’s pages). Blank inserts
  3. Cut out the template
  4. Insert the blank planner inserts into the printer
  5. Then you need to adjust the settings of the planner page printout.  In my computer (Mac), I will have to go to file, then select print, select paper size, select manage custom sizes, and type in your planner paper size.
  6. Once you have adjusted your settings, you are ready to print!
  7. Punch in some holes
  8. Enjoy your new planner insert!

Planner Printouts

I don’t know about you but I love free stuff. (Who doesn’t?)

Here is a list of free planner printouts that will sure to help you organize your life. I have printed out several and I can tell you I am much more organized, and my goals are more achievable.

In the midst of uncertainty

Have you ever been through uncertainty? Situations you have no control over no matter how many scenarios you play in your mind. There is hope in the midst of uncertainty. There is peace in the midst of uncertainty. Yes I know those statements seems far fetched but they are true.  The Lord commanded us to be still and know that he is God. What does that mean? It means to calm your nerves and realize that God is the almighty, he is in control, not you. I know it’s hard to let go and let him be in control. That’s one of the things I constantly struggle with as well. I always tend to plan every aspect of my life, when things don’t fall into place I start to control. But there are many situations I can not control, and I had to learn to let go and God be the pilot. I am no way someone who mastered letting go of control but I have experienced some situations where nothing I can do will change the situation instead letting go and allowing God to be in control.

Bible verses to remember:

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I know that in the midst of uncertainty the perspective of life seems bleek. Please know that the Lord wants you to lean on him, to depend on him. He is your supplication, he will supply you with what you need.

When you are in Despair

Are you in need of encouragement?  I hope I can be of help to you today.  We all go through so many struggles in our lives be it financial or close relationships.  I want you to know that you are not alone, I want you to know that the Almighty God is with you.  He hates to see any of us in despair.

I too have struggled in despair for a season in my life.  It felt like a huge burden was on my chest and it was hard to breathe yet alone have any hope of anything becoming better.  I tried to reach out to people but most of them were as lost as I was.  I knew deep down in my heart that there was something better.  I started listening to podcast sermons of a local church nearby, and the sermons resonated to me, it felt like my heart was beginning to heal.  Not long after that I made the choice to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  From then on it was still a long road to recovery but indeed it was ultimately a recovery.

I want to plead with you, please don’t listen to worldly advice.  If it doesn’t align with the Bible, then it is not from the Lord.  Whatever you are struggling with bring it to the Lord. I pray that the Lord will provide you with people that will draw you closer to the Lord and lift you up.  I encourage you to entrench yourself in the Bible because the enemy will test your faith.  I promise you if you put your faith in the Lord in His timing he will answer your prayer.  I know you might be asking when and how, but those things will be a mystery until the Lord reveals it to you.  I know that patience is a painful thing to learn and deal with, I know that waiting on the Lord seems bleak but I promise you he does answer prayers.

Another thing I would like to mention before I close is this, surround yourself with praise and worship music.  I know it might seem cliché, but the enemy hates it when we praise the Lord.  Besides that, praise and worship music might help by calming your nerves, by distracting you and by directing your attention to the Lord.

If you have any prayer requests I can be your prayer warrior.  Just send me an email, you don’t even need to tell me your name or your situation, you can even tell me a simple prayer request with no details will be just fine.  I want to help you.

In Christ,

This is my daughter and dog 🙂

About me:

Hi welcome! My name is Jacqueline, I have a husband, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.  I homeschool my daughter, and I am a full time accounting major that will hopefully (if it’s God’s will) crossing my fingers and toes finish in March 2017.  I started this website to encourage others through devotions, ideas, diy and everything else.  I am no way a perfect christian, but by grace and lots of it! I am saved.
